Amid heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh-Manali highway was blocked for traffic after a massive landslide hit at 7 Mile, a few km ahead of Mandi town towards Kullu on Friday.

TRAFFIC MOVEMENT AFFECTED
Due to the landslide, long queues of stranded vehicles extended for several kilometres on the national highway. For clearance of traffic, the district administration diverted light vehicles going from Chandigarh to Kullu-Manali via Kataula. On the other hand, small vehicles coming from Kullu-Manali were being sent from Pandoh via Gohar-Chalchowk.
Meanwhile, heavy vehicles were not allowed to cross the area.
