A Punjab Congress leader, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, has alleged that two AAP leaders, including the Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar and Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal were present at Red Fort on January 26, 2021 with Deep Sidhu when separatist Khalistanis had stormed the historical monument.

Releasing a video, Khaira claimed that the person who is wearing a yellow turban is Laljit Singh Bullar.

Dear @ArvindKejriwal & @BhagwantMann ji plz clarify if your transport minister @Laljitbhullar is part of hoisting Kesri Nishan Sahib on Red Fort along with Deep Sidhu? If yes how does our Cm call them anti national & keep him minister in his cabinet? I am subject to correction ! pic.twitter.com/Zt3uaJFPsy

“They dubbed Deep Sidhu as anti-national and a terrorist when he hoisted Nishan Sahib at Red Fort, but the video shared by me shows Laljit Singh Bhullar, who is the transport minister, standing with Deep Sidhu and was involved in the flag controversy,” Sukhpal Singh Khaira said claiming, that another AAP leader was also present at the Red Fort on January 26 last year.

The Congress leader said that Bhullar was not the only AAP leader who was present but there is evidence that another party leader was also there.

“I have other evidence in which Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, another minister, was also present with Deep Sidhu. Will Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chadda and Bhagwant Mann keep this person (Laljit bhullar) in the cabinet? The Congress demands that the minister should be immediately removed from the cabinet,” Sukhpal Khaira asked.

The minister was not available for comment but Chief AAP Spokesperson Malwinder Singh Kang said the video could be a matter of investigation.

“Thousands of people from Punjab went to support the farmer agitation. I’m not sure about the authenticity of the Red Fort video which you are talking about. It can be a subject of investigation,” Malwinder Singh Kang said.

Reacting to the video, Senior BJP leader Vineet Joshi demanded that Laljit Singh Bhullar should be immediately removed from the cabinet and should also be booked for rioting. He said that those who had stormed the Red Fort last year have been booked under various sections of the IPC for rioting and breaking the law. As many as 160 people were arrested.

“Today Sukhpal Singh Khera, who is a former AAP leader and currently with the Congress, has released a video which shows that AAP cabinet minister was present at the Red Fort. All the sections applied to 160 people should also be applied to Laljit Singh Bhullar too. He should be removed from the cabinet,” Vineet Joshi said.

Senior Akali Dal leader and Spokesperson Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said one should not be surprised if the AAP leaders were present at Red Fort.

“The nation cannot trust Arvind Kejriwal. He is the person who can go to any length to win an election. He can also touch the feet of a person and even tender an apology in the court. This is his character. You can also find his men at the Red Fort, or even in the riots reported in Delhi,” Cheema said.
