The SIT probing the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Kanpur has arrested two more accused, taking the total number of arrests to 30.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested two more accused of the 1984 Sikh riots.

The case was registered against both the arrested accused in Armapur police station. They were wanted in the case. The accused were identified as Rajendra Kumar Jaiswal and Brijesh Dubey.

Both the accused have been sent to jail after conducting a medical examination. Both the accused are residents of Panki Awas Vikas.

With the recent arrest, SIT has arrested 30 people accused of anti-Sikh riots.

“So far, 30 accused have been arrested and the remaining accused will be arrested soon and legal action will be taken,” said SIT DIG Balendra Bhushan.
