Tesla suggests returning Enhanced Autopilot to the US and China

The Enhanced Autopilot feature has existed for quite some time in the market. There was a time when there was reporting on Tesla’s Autopilot being confusing for its different versions.

The Enhanced Autopilot included features such as the Navigate on Autopilot, Auto Lane Change, Autopark, Summon, and Smart Summon. Tesla fans in the US have made it clear that they don’t want to shell out $12,000 for the Full Self-Driving Capability package, especially before it is available to the general public. In exchange, they would appreciate having some of the most important features not included in the free version of Autopilot that comes with all Teslas.

Tesla recently broke all news headlines when they announced the release of the Enhanced Autopilot feature in Australia and New Zealand. While the Tesla owners are still testing the FSD beta, the program isn’t available to the rest of the world.

A vocal Tesla fan and owner quoted an article about the new feature and suggested that Tesla should bring back the Enhanced Autopilot feature to everyone. He further explained that FSD is too pricey for what one gets. He suggested that Tesla should offer Enhanced Autopilot as the initial upgrade from the free Basic Autopilot. News pages broke when the Tesla CEO Elon Musk replied with an ‘Ok.” This clearly indicates positive feedback though the release date is still under severe skepticism. Musk didn’t add any extra information to the same.

Now the bigger question is will it encourage people eventually to drop $12,000 on FSD? This is something to ponder upon.
