The much-anticipated film JugJugg Jeeyo has been released today. Helmed by Raj Mehta, the film stars Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Kohli. The star-studded film will make you cry as much as it laughs. This story is all about family and the values it upholds, as well as unfulfilled desires and unforeseen reconciliations.

If early reviews are to be considered on social media by the fans and critics, the film has already got a thumbs up. Critics praise director Raj Mehta for presenting a film that deals with a sensitive subject like divorce in such a beautiful way. Despite character imperfections, Anil Kapoor is the film’s throbbing heart and, as always, transcends the script to captivate the viewer.

Fans call JugJugg Jeeyo a wholesome film after ages. Entertaining, relevant and great performances, the film will take you on a joyride with the stellar cast and storyline, wrote one fan.

The best part of JugJugg Jeeyo is the emotions. Another viewer commented that there are many scenes in the second half that will make you all cry.

JugJugg Jeeyo is an entertainer with the perfect balance of comedy, emotions & drama. The story appears fresh showing how a marriage of 5 years and 35 years stand the same fate. Everyone played their part perfectly, commented another.

#JugJuggJeeyo is a full on entertainer. A perfect combination of emotion, drama and laughter. A complete family entertainer with an emotional tale in it.
Hands down #RajMehta is currently best director for these kind of movies.

Days before its release, the Dharma Production film had faced controversies. While a Pakistani singer claimed that his song “Nach Punjaban” had been stolen for the film, a Ranchi resident accused the makers of plagiarizing the plot for the movie Jugjugg Jeeyo. He also claimed the story was copied from his story Punny Rani, demanding Rs 1.5 crores in compensation. As of June 23, the matter was before a local court.
