A day after a petrol bomb was hurled at the BJP office in Coimbatore, the vehicles of BJP officials and the Hindu Munnani in charge in Tamil Nadu’s Pollachi were damaged with an axe.

Window panes of cars belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) functionaries and the glass of an auto rickshaw owned by Hindu Munnani in charge were vandalized in Pollachi. This comes a day after a petrol bomb was hurled at the BJP office in Coimbatore.
The incident took place in the Kumaran Nagar area of Pollachi. The vehicles of Ponraj (organizational district secretary), Siva (former city BJP in-charge) and Saravanakumar (Hindu Munnai ward in charge) were the ones that were attacked.
On Friday morning, Ponraj’s car, Siva’s car and the autos of Saravanakumar and his father Venugopal’s were attacked. Diesel was poured on the vehicles with the intention of burning them. The glass of the car and autos were broken with an axe.
Pollachi Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepa Sujitha, who was informed about the incident, reached to spot and an investigation is underway.
